Key Responsibilities: Prepare and submit all required tax returns (e.g., VAT, income tax, withholding tax, local business taxes) accurately and on time. Maintain detailed and accurate tax records for auditing and compliance. Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure proper tax-related entries. Offer advice on tax-efficient strategies and business structures. Handle tax audits from internal and external auditors or tax authorities. Address and respond to tax assessments, notices, and government inquiries. Prepare documents and support for tax positions taken by the company. Resolve discrepancies identified during audits. Advise management on tax law changes and propose necessary actions. Stay updated on new tax regulations and revise internal tax policies accordingly. Work with other departments (Finance, Legal, HR) on tax-related matters. Generate and submit reports on tax liabilities, payments, and compliance. Coordinate with external consultants, auditors, and tax authorities when required. Qualifications & Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred). Minimum 3 years of experience in tax compliance or a related role. Strong understanding of national and local tax laws, regulations, and filing procedures. Experience with tax audits and dealings with tax authorities. Proficiency in accounting and tax software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, BIR eFPS/eBIRForms). Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. High attention to detail and accuracy. Strong communication and report-writing skills.
