As a Talent Development Specialist , you will support the implementation of talent development strategies aligned with organizational objectives, ensuring their adaptability to evolving business needs. Reporting to the Talent Development Manager, you will collaborate with various departments to design, implement, and evaluate learning and development programs that address skill gaps and training needs.
Your role will involve managing leadership development programs, contributing to succession planning, and optimizing Learning Management Systems. By fostering innovative learning solutions and promoting diversity and inclusion, you will help create an inclusive learning environment that encourages a culture of adaptability and continuous growth.
Through these efforts, you will support the integration of talent development with performance management processes, ensuring employees have the tools and resources needed to succeed and thrive.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the implementation of the talent development strategy aligned with organisational goals.
- Deliver training where required within the strategy set by the Talent Transformation Director.
- Monitor and suggest adaptations to the strategy to meet evolving business needs.
- Collaborate with team members and department heads to support initiatives aligned with business objectives.
- Serve as a point of contact between the Talent Development department and other organisational units.
- Support the design, implementation, and evaluation of learning and development programmes.
- Help ensure programmes address identified skills gaps and training needs.
- Assist in managing leadership development programmes in alignment with the leadership competency framework.
- Contribute to succession planning efforts by identifying high-potential employees.
- Aid in the management and optimisation of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other technologies.
- Encourage the adoption of innovative learning solutions such as virtual reality or gamification.
- Implement evaluation measures to assess the effectiveness of training and development programmes.
- Gather feedback and use data to support continuous improvement of learning initiatives.
- Support the integration of talent development with performance management processes.
- Assist in managing the budget for talent development activities, ensuring efficient resource use.
- Ensure compliance with mandatory training requirements and industry standards.
- Prepare draft reports on talent development activities, outcomes, and ROI for senior leadership.
- Promote diversity and inclusion within all talent development programmes and initiatives.
- Support the creation of an inclusive learning environment that values diverse perspectives.
- Help equip leaders and teams with skills and tools for navigating organisational change.
- Promote a culture of adaptability and continuous learning.
- Contribute to team projects and initiatives within the Talent Development department.
- Stay informed of industry trends and best practices to support innovation within the department.
- Minimum 5 years of experience within talent and learning development
- Experience in learning and development delivery, including facilitating training sessions, workshops, or e-learning modules.
- Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire participants across all levels of the organization.
- Familiarity with learning platforms and tools, such as Udemy, Culture Amp, or similar systems, to support program delivery and evaluation.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teams and stakeholders, building relationships that drive successful learning outcomes.
- Analytical mindset, with the ability to measure the impact of training programs and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.
- Creative thinker, with a passion for designing engaging and interactive learning experiences.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and deliver results in a dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of global learning trends and the ability to tailor solutions to diverse cultural and regional needs.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
