Overview

Senior Electrical Engineer, Transmission Lines – Aurecon, Pasig, National Capital Region, Philippines

This role focuses on the design of high voltage transmission lines, particularly extra high voltage projects rated above 132 kV, and collaboration with offshore design teams.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and engineering of transmission line projects, focusing on electrical characteristics and requirements for systems rated ≥132 kV.
  • Engage in all phases of the project lifecycle from concept through detailed design and execution.
  • Collaborate with offshore engineering teams to ensure seamless project progression and adherence to quality standards.
  • Prepare and review technical documentation, including design calculations, specifications, and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and codes, particularly for Australian and New Zealand markets.
  • Conduct design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers and other project team members.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients, stakeholders, and team members; cultivate strong working relationships.
  • Stay updated with advancements in electrical engineering technologies and methodologies.

  • A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in electrical engineering, with a strong focus on transmission line design and execution
  • Proven experience in designing transmission lines rated higher than 132 kV
  • Experience working with offshore designers and coordinating across different time zones and cultures
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Familiarity with Australian and New Zealand electrical codes and practices is highly advantageous
