Solution Architect

Job Description This role ensures that technical solutioning and infrastructure design are seamlessly integrated within the team. By embedding this capability, we eliminate the need to queue for external SA or cloud platform support, enabling faster iterations, tighter alignment with product goals, and reduced dependency on shared delivery units. This role is key to ensuring the speed, autonomy, and scalability of our product builds. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Solution Design & Architecture Lead end-to-end design of scalable, secure, and cloud-native data product architectures aligned with business and technical requirements. Develop solution blueprints covering data ingestion, processing, storage, and access layers for internal and third-party use. Ensure designs meet performance, scalability, compliance, and monetization standards. Establish architectural guidelines, coding standards, and validation processes. Guide platform/tool selection, integration methods, and design trade-offs. Cloud Platform Engineering Design and implement infrastructure on cloud platforms to support data products. Optimize architecture for cost-efficiency, elasticity, and fault tolerance. Implement infrastructure-as-code using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation for secure, repeatable deployments. Data Security, Compliance & Integration Readiness Embed data privacy and security-by-design principles into architectures. Define and enforce access control, encryption standards, and secure data sharing mechanisms. Ensure alignment with Globe’s governance frameworks. Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate with Data Architects, Engineers, QA, Product Analysts, and stakeholders to ensure solutions are scalable and efficient. Support architectural validation during PoCs, pilots, and go-live phases. Platform Optimization & Continuous Improvement Continuously evaluate and optimize solutions for evolving needs and standards. Track emerging trends to inform future innovations. REQUIREMENTS: At least 3 years of experience in solution architecture, cloud infrastructure, and data product development. Proven experience designing and deploying cloud-native architectures for data platforms and APIs. Strong background in data security, privacy-by-design, and compliance, especially in regulated environments. Experience with AWS, Snowflake, Databricks, and related technologies. Experience leading cross-functional teams to align solutions with business goals. Level of Knowledge: Deep expertise in AWS cloud architecture; other cloud knowledge is a plus. Strong command of data platform design, including data lakes, warehouses, and event-driven architectures. Knowledge of privacy-preserving data processing techniques. Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code, DevSecOps, and CI/CD pipelines. Knowledge of data governance frameworks is advantageous. Soft Skills Strong collaboration and communication skills. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Business-oriented mindset focused on scalable, monetizable solutions. Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment. Additional Skills: Expertise in AWS; other cloud platforms are a plus. Experience with architecture tools like UML, ArchiMate, Lucidchart, or TOGAF. Knowledge of security protocols, data platforms like Snowflake/Databricks, programming in Python/SQL/Bash, and infrastructure-as-code tools.
