Financial Paraplanner Our partner, a leading Australian financial services firm known for its deep client focus and commitment to best‑practice financial advice, is hiring for Financial Paraplanner . This organization specializes in providing advice to self‑employed professionals and small business owners who desire to protect their families, businesses, and income. They advocate a goals‑and‑objectives based financial planning process to provide clients with tailored and holistic financial advice. We are looking for a highly capable Financial Paraplanner who will be instrumental in supporting a Senior Financial Advisor to jointly manage their client base. The successful candidate must be fully competent in financial advice strategies and well informed on products, services, and the relevant industry regulations to contribute strategically to client solutions. This role requires fully reporting onsite during the first 6 months, then 3x a week onsite, 2x a week working from home. Working hours will follow Australian Business Hours. Key Responsibilities Manage the end‑to‑end preparation of advice documents (SOA, ROA), ensuring compliance with industry regulations and licensee policies. Coordinate the advice implementation process, including product applications and client documentation. Act as the main liaison with external stakeholders (lawyers, insurers, fund managers, accountants, mortgage brokers) to ensure smooth communication and coordination. Conduct product research, comparisons, and insurance analysis to support tailored client recommendations. Oversee relationships with external paraplanners, ensuring quality, compliance, and timely delivery of advice documents. Monitor internal and external turnaround times to ensure all client advice is delivered promptly. Provide administrative support to Financial Advisors, including insurance quoting and research assistance. Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of compliance standards and approved product lists. Support team operations by assisting with projects and providing coverage during absences to ensure business continuity. Skills, Experience & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years’ experience in the Australian financial planning industry. Background in financial planning, banking, or insurance, with a solid understanding of preparing advice documents tailored to client needs. Proficiency in Xplan or similar financial planning software is highly regarded. Diploma or certification in Financial Planning is an advantage. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
