Overview We are seeking a dynamic, results-oriented Business Development Analyst with a proven track record in the solar industry to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with key clients, and driving sales growth in the renewable energy sector. Key Responsibilities Identify, qualify, and develop new business opportunities within the solar energy industry focused on ground-mounted utility-scale solar construction projects and other engineering and field services related to solar power plant construction. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including developers, contractors, and decision-makers in target markets. Develop and execute strategies to promote solar products and services to potential customers. Generate new leads through networking, market research, and attending industry events. Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and technical departments, to ensure a seamless customer experience. Conduct market analysis to identify trends, competitors, and customer needs, providing recommendations for business growth. Develop and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients. Negotiate contracts and close sales while ensuring customer satisfaction. Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs set by the company. Stay informed about industry developments, regulations, and emerging technologies to effectively position the company’s offerings. Provide feedback to the product and marketing teams to improve service offerings and messaging. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management within the solar or renewable energy industry. Strong understanding of solar technology, financing models, and market trends. Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Familiarity with CRM tools and sales management software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot). Passion for renewable energy and sustainability. Experience with large-scale commercial and industrial solar projects. Knowledge of solar incentives, rebates, and financial structures (e.g., power purchase agreements, tax credits).
