This role leads the HR functions within the Philippines and serves as the strategic partner to Branch Management to deliver the Bank’s business objectives and future talent needs.
The Head of HR represents the local HR branch in the HR Leadership Team and oversees all HR operations, organizational development, and HR initiatives.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Responsibilities- Strategic
- Develop, implement, and lead the Branch HR strategy aligned with the branch business strategy.
- Work with HR Head of MVPM, CHRO APAC, and Global HR to ensure alignment of the Branch HR plan with global and regional strategies and local objectives.
- Provide country-specific insights to Global HR to shape human capital plans aligned to business objectives.
- Drive the Global HR transformation and adopt new operating models while maintaining safety and soundness; champion change within GHR and assist stakeholders with related shifts.
- Financial
- Deliver within budget targets for Branch HR while ensuring cost-effective and efficient HR services.
- Customer
- Develop and maintain strong stakeholder management with internal and external partners.
- Support implementation of global and regional HR projects in the Branch.
- Provide strategic guidance to senior management on HR-related matters.
- Influence adoption of global and regional HR policies to drive market-relevant, compliant practices.
- Manage relationships with HR service vendors to ensure quality service.
- Negotiate and liaise with relevant unions or industry bodies on employment matters.
- People
- Manage performance, development, and rewards for Branch HR members.
- Foster cross-country collaboration as one HR team with MVPM.
- Lead and coach the Branch HR team on complex HR issues, including policy interpretation, salary proposals, and performance management.
- Other/Control
- Deliver key annual HR processes such as compensation reviews, performance management, talent management, and employee engagement.
- Drive organizational change initiatives with HR Leadership Team and Branch Management.
- Address employee relations matters in compliance with laws and regulations.
- Oversee HR Operations delivery and collaborate with the business to provide effective HR solutions.
- Assess and update local HR processes, policies, and guidelines for continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.
- Drive process improvements and monitor HR-related risks; advise management on gaps and mitigation measures.
- Lead internal and external audits related to HR and serve as a trusted advisor to the leadership team on HR topics.
- Degree qualified.
- Desirable: at least 10 years of relevant experience in the financial institution industry.
- Proven experience in strategic HR planning and implementation.
- Strong stakeholder management skills to collaborate with.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence others and sell HR solutions.
- Strong coaching, mentoring and leadership skills to manage a team.
- In-depth knowledge of all HR disciplines including Recruitment, Employment Relations, HR Generalist, Rewards, Organizational Development and Training.
- Strong knowledge of HR processes, practices and local employment laws.
