Assistant Project Manager – Utility-Scale Solar Projects

Join our dynamic team as an Assistant Project Manager, specializing in the execution of utility-scale, grid-connected solar power projects. In this pivotal role, you will oversee every stage of the project lifecycle—from planning and engineering through procurement, construction, commissioning, and operations and maintenance of Solar Power Projects.

Responsibilities
  • Project Planning & Delivery: Develop and maintain detailed project plans, oversee timelines, budgets, and resources, and ensure all phases are completed efficiently, on schedule, and within financial targets.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Act as a primary liaison with clients, government agencies (such as the Department of Energy and ERC), contractors, and suppliers to ensure clear communication and alignment throughout the project.
  • Budgeting & Cost Control: Monitor project budgets, manage expenditures, and seek opportunities for cost optimization while upholding quality and safety standards.
  • Procurement Oversight: Supervise the sourcing and acquisition of all project materials, equipment, and services, ensuring strict compliance with technical and quality requirements.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Navigate the permitting process and secure all necessary licenses and clearances from local and national authorities.
  • Construction Management: Oversee construction activities to guarantee safety, quality, and adherence to engineering specifications.
  • Risk Management: Proactively identify project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Progress Reporting: Deliver regular and comprehensive project updates and progress reports to senior management and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil) or related field; PMP certification is a significant asset.
  • 5 years of progressive experience in project management, with a strong record of delivering large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in utility-scale solar or renewable energy projects within the Philippines.
  • Solid technical knowledge of solar PV systems, electrical engineering, and construction processes.
  • Proficiency with project management software.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and manage multiple projects at once.
  • Familiarity with local energy regulations and permitting processes is highly preferred.
