Overview

Lead Expert - Network Coverage Analysis and Planning Tools Development at Globe Telecom. Responsible for end-to-end planning of new sites, leveraging specialized planning tools and data analysis to ensure optimal network coverage and capacity. The engineer will conduct high-level planning, cascade strategies to Territory teams, identify coverage gaps, propose solutions, and generate cost estimates for new sites and enhancements.

Responsibilities
  • New Site Planning: Plan and design new sites and expansions, considering coverage objectives, capacity requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Planning Tool Proficiency: Utilize planning tools such as Asset or Planet to conduct detailed network analysis and simulations.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze various measurement reports including Discovery, Ookla, and Facebook data to assess network performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Tool Improvement: Identify and recommend enhancements to existing planning tools to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Feature Analysis & Testing: Analyze new features within planning tools and conduct thorough testing to ensure proper functionality and integration.
  • Planning Tool Administration: Serve as the administrator for network planning tools, managing user access, configurations, and data integrity.
  • High-Level Planning & Strategy Cascade: Develop high-level network plans and strategies and effectively communicate and cascade these plans to different territorial teams.
  • Coverage Analysis: Analyze network coverage data to identify areas with insufficient coverage and propose solutions for improvement.
  • Cost Estimation: Generate accurate cost estimates for new site deployments and network upgrades.
  • Process Improvement: Recommend and implement improvements to the network planning processes and the interaction with territorial teams to enhance efficiency and collaboration.
Qualifications
  • Mid-Senior level experience in network planning or a related field.
  • Experience with planning tools such as Asset or Planet and conducting detailed network analyses and simulations.
  • Strong data analysis skills using measurement reports (e.g., Discovery, Ookla, Facebook data) to assess network performance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Experience administering planning tools, including managing user access, configurations, and data integrity.
  • Ability to develop high-level network plans and effectively cascade strategies to territorial teams.
  • Cost estimation experience for new site deployments and network upgrades.
