AML Data QA Manager

Overview AML Data QA Manager role at Manulife, located in Quezon City, National Capital Region, Philippines. The role is part of the Integrated Compliance Services team at MBPS and involves overseeing AML Data QA activities, including development, execution and reporting of the annual risk-based AML Data QA testing plan. The role also supports the Asia Segment Compliance function in communications with management, internal auditors and Asia Business Units. Responsibilities AML Data QA Management and Execution: develop and support a risk-based AML Data QA testing plan, where relevant. Support the Asia Segment Compliance and Global Functions Compliance in the delivery and execution of the risk-based AML Data QA testing plan using risk analysis, data analytics, professional judgement, document inspection and process understanding with stakeholders where relevant. Ensure AML Data QA Activities are completed in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with test plans. Communicate root causes of identified issues and associated risks, with recommendations for improvements in business processes; ensure action plans are implemented by management. Deliver high quality AML Data QA reports in line with industry best practices and the relevant risk and regulatory environment. Ensure timely reporting of all AML Data QA statuses, including current activities, next steps and roadblocks. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify red flags and ensure insights to emerging risk and controls are identified and managed. Build trust with stakeholders, engage objectively, and support senior management in achieving business objectives. Support ad-hoc projects / special QA work related to AML Systems and Data QA, as assigned. Collaborate with the Compliance Data Analytics Team in MITDC (Makati Team) to develop CAATS, such as Test Data or Audit Software. People Leadership Conduct 1:1 coaching, support, motivation and development of staff. Assist and conduct training needs analysis for personal and professional development of staff. Identify opportunities and provide process improvement recommendations. Required Qualifications At least 4-6 years working experience in leading IT risk-based audits (e.g., IT Application Controls and IT General Controls), teams, interacting with key stakeholders and managing negotiation situations. Proven experience in IT Security Governance, Risk Management and Compliance (preferably AML). Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology, Financial / Investments, or related field; or other relevant studies (e.g., Computer Engineering, Accountancy, Business). Preferred Qualifications CISA, CISSP, CIA or equivalent certification is an added advantage. Knowledge of AML/ATF compliance is highly preferred. Knowledge of financial services/insurance operations and products is a plus. Familiarity with AML systems and tools such as Bridger and FCRM is an advantage. Experience with IT auditing tools and software; knowledge of COBIT or similar standards is a plus. Strong written and verbal communication skills; adept in stakeholder management. Team-oriented, collaborative, with ability to think critically, set priorities and deliver value. Detail-oriented, organized, and willing to work hands-on with systems. MS Office proficiency.
