Data & Automation Engineer role at Crisp . This is a remote (nearshore/offshore) role and part of Crisp’s Global Team.

We’re hiring to serve as the technical glue between people, platforms, and performance — building analytics tools, integrating CRMs, automating workflows, and delivering fast, flexible data solutions that move the needle.

This is a high-output, high-ownership role for someone who thrives in ambiguity, communicates with clarity, and builds solutions that scale. You'll bridge analytics and engineering, working across Salesforce, HubSpot, Zapier, Google Sheets, Domo, and lightweight code to make information accessible, accurate, and actionable.

• Business Partnering, Analysis, & Performance
• Translate stakeholder needs into working prototypes, dashboards, and reporting tools in hours, not days.
• Create and deliver reporting packs (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, YTD) for managers, directors, and executives.
• Partner with teams across operations, recruiting, HR, coaching, marketing, sales, and finance to build flexible, self-serve tools.
• Collect and analyze productivity and performance data across departments; identify gaps, trends, and actionable insights.
• Proactively surface red flags, performance trends, and opportunities for improvement before leadership asks.
• Build and maintain real-time dashboards using SQL, BI platforms (Domo/Tableau), and embedded Google Sheets.
• Ensure compliance, consistency, accuracy, and timeliness of all reports and dashboards.
• Maintain KPI definitions, data dictionaries, and process documentation.
• Optimize reporting for speed, reusability, and scalability across multiple business units.
• Leverage automation tools (Zapier, APIs, Apps Script, ELT pipelines) to reduce manual processes and eliminate errors.
• Perform regular audits and cleanup of databases and reporting systems to ensure data integrity.

• CRM, API, & Systems Development
• Architect and maintain CRM and project management automations across Salesforce, HubSpot, ClickUp, among others — including flows, triggers, reporting, and backend configuration.
• Write and maintain scripts and integrations using Python and Java to connect data across systems, automate workflows, and support new business use cases.
• Build and maintain API connections to sync data between CRMs, BI tools, and spreadsheets.
• Lead integration projects from requirements gathering through deployment (e.g., payment syncs, form integrations, workflow automation).
• Collaborate with on-site and offshore teams to capture requirements, troubleshoot issues, and drive alignment.

• Process Documentation & Continuous Improvement
• Standardize and document processes to ensure reporting, automation, and data workflows are consistent, scalable, and repeatable.
• Identify opportunities for cross-platform integrations and workflow optimization to reduce manual work and increase efficiency.
• Train stakeholders on dashboards, reporting systems, and self-serve analytics tools to drive adoption and accuracy.

• AI & Workflow Optimization
• Leverage AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, AI copilots, or custom models) to accelerate reporting, documentation, and process automation.
• Identify opportunities where AI can reduce manual work, improve accuracy, or scale insights across the organization.

• Experience: 4–6 years of experience in data analytics, systems integration, or operations/reporting engineering.
• Spreadsheets: Expert-level proficiency in Google Sheets/Excel (including advanced formulas, automation, and cross-sheet integrations).
• Programming: Strong knowledge of SQL and APIs, with the ability to write and maintain scripts. Experience with Python and Java is highly preferred (Node.js a plus).
• Business Intelligence: Experience with BI tools (Domo, Tableau, or equivalent) and data pipeline automation.
• CRM & Tools: Hands-on experience with Salesforce, HubSpot, ClickUp, and workflow automation tools (Zapier or similar).
• Cloud & Security: Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS or similar), data pipelines, and security best practices.
• Process Improvement: Six Sigma or similar process improvement background (preferred).
• Communication: Exceptional communicator with the ability to translate technical data into clear business insights.
• Mindset: Detail-obsessed, documentation-driven, and highly proactive in problem-solving.
