At OpsWerks, we're seeking a Sr. Fintech App Support Engineer to join our team.
About the job:- Develop operational strategies and serve as a subject matter expert on microservices and distributed systems for fintech applications.
- Lead and coordinate incident response efforts, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing impact on operations.
- Proactively diagnose and resolve issues using log analysis, and prevent recurring problems.
- Continuously improve processes by identifying inefficiencies and applying solutions to enhance service reliability.
- Create and maintain documentation of known issues, workarounds, and resolutions.
- Conduct knowledge sharing sessions and workshops within the team.
- Participate in a 24x7 shift rotation.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or Engineering.
- Proven experience supporting critical production services and enhancing operations through automation and process improvements.
- Strong understanding of SRE principles: observability, SLOs, and eliminating toil.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in:
- Supporting critical production services, including incident response.
- Working with large-scale distributed systems as an SRE or DevOps engineer.
- Logging and monitoring tools such as Splunk, Prometheus, etc.
- Incident management tools like PagerDuty, ServiceNow.
- Version control with Git.
Plus points include:
- Experience in e-commerce, payments, or financial services operations.
- Container orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Shell.
- Relevant certifications.
- Familiarity with SQL troubleshooting.
