We are looking for a Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team and lead the Motorpool operations. If you have strong leadership skills, a passion for mechanics, and the ability to manage a team, we'd love to hear from you About the role: Supervise the Motorpool team to ensure all repair and maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and accurately. Oversee regular preventive maintenance schedules for all vehicles and equipment to minimize downtime. Diagnose mechanical/electrical problems and recommend appropriate repairs. Train and mentor mechanics, electrician and helpers providing guidance on best practices and troubleshooting techniques. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure. Monitor and manage the inventory of spare parts and tools, ensuring availability for necessary repairs. Coordinate with the Administrative Site Supervisor to prioritize and schedule repairs and maintenance tasks. Conduct quality checks on completed work to verify functionality and adherence to standards. Maintain accurate records of repair history, parts used, and maintenance. Prepare periodic reports on fleet performance, repair costs, and downtime to support decision-making. Assist in evaluating new equipment and vehicles for potential purchase based on operational needs. Perform other duties as assigned by the Administrative Site Supervisor or management. We need individuals who: Vocational or Technical School Graduate in Automotive Technology or a related field (Required) Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience as a mechanic , with at least one (1) year in a supervisory role (Preferred). Extensive knowledge of vehicle and equipment repair and maintenance. Proficiency in diagnosing mechanical issues and determining effective solutions. Strong leadership and team management skills. Familiarity with relevant tools, equipment, and diagnostic software. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Power Point). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to manage inventory and maintain accurate records. Commitment to safety and adherence to company policies and procedures. #J-18808-Ljbffr
