Heavy Equipment Mechanic

Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our growing construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy equipment and machinery used in our projects, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, loaders, dump trucks, and cranes
- Perform preventive maintenance and regular servicing of construction machinery
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues accurately
- Maintain detailed service and repair records for all equipment
- Coordinate with operators and site supervisors regarding equipment concerns
- Ensure all repairs are performed in accordance with safety standards and company policies
- Recommend parts replacement and order necessary materials when needed
Qualifications:
- Technical or vocational diploma in Automotive/Heavy Equipment Servicing or related field
- At least 5-10 years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic (construction experience preferred)
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical troubleshooting
- Ability to work independently and under minimal supervision
- Physically fit and willing to work on-site
