Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our growing construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy equipment and machinery used in our projects, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, loaders, dump trucks, and cranes
  • Perform preventive maintenance and regular servicing of construction machinery
  • Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues accurately
  • Maintain detailed service and repair records for all equipment
  • Coordinate with operators and site supervisors regarding equipment concerns
  • Ensure all repairs are performed in accordance with safety standards and company policies
  • Recommend parts replacement and order necessary materials when needed

Qualifications:

  • Technical or vocational diploma in Automotive/Heavy Equipment Servicing or related field
  • At least 5-10 years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic (construction experience preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical troubleshooting
  • Ability to work independently and under minimal supervision
  • Physically fit and willing to work on-site
