KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct regular preventive maintenance on heavy equipment to minimize downtime. Perform troubleshooting, inspection, and diagnostic tests to identify mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic issues. Repair or replace defective parts, components, and systems (e.g. engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems). Conduct overhauling and major repairs when necessary. Maintain service records and report maintenance activities and issues encountered. Ensure all equipment complies with company safety standards and manufacturer’s specifications. Assist in mobilizing and demobilizing heavy equipment from project sites as needed. Coordinate with the Head Mechanic or Supervisor regarding required spare parts and maintenance schedules. Keep the work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards. QUALIFICATIONS Vocational or Technical Course in Automotive, Mechanical Technology, or related field (TESDA or equivalent certification preferred). At least 2-3 years of experience in heavy equipment repair and maintenance. Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems of heavy equipment. Ability to read and understand equipment manuals and technical diagrams. Physical fitness to perform hands‑on mechanical tasks. SKILLS REQUIRED Mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills. Familiarity with diagnostic tools and equipment. Basic welding and fabrication skills (an advantage). Good communication and teamwork skills. Safety‑conscious attitude. #J-18808-Ljbffr
