The Medical Writer will be responsible in developing medically and scientifically accurate communications for different audiences like healthcare professionals, patients and caretakers. This position requires a strong science or healthcare background combined with creative craft to produce content for branded campaigns, patient education materials, and medical slide decks.

The main responsibilities of a MEDICAL WRITER include:
- Translate complex medical/scientific concepts into clear and concise copy.
- Create medical slide decks, websites, branded campaign assets, and patient education materials.
- Drive the editorial process from first draft to final proof; ensuring accuracy and quality of all contents.
- Partner with design, strategy, account managers and project management teams
- Ensure all content is on-brand and Code-compliant
- Attend scientific meetings, advisory boards, and client meetings
- Contribute research and content to proposals and pitch presentations
- Stay up to date on current trends in medical education and/or pharma industry developments.
To apply, you must be an expert on the following requirements:
- Preferably with a Bachelor's Degree or PhD in any science or medical field
- At least 2 to 5 years of medical writing experience, including creating medical or scientific content for clinical trials, doctors, healthcare, and the public
- Experience in pharma agency work is a great advantage
- Knowledge of Medicines Australia Code of Conduct (preferred but not required; can be trained)
- Knowledge of using Veeva/PromoMats (preferred but not required; can be trained)
- Translate complex medical or scientific concepts into clear, concise, and accurate copy
- Create slide decks, websites, branded campaign assets, and patient education materials (majority of the role)
- Drive the editorial process from first draft to final proof, ensuring accuracy, quality, and Code compliance
- Partner effectively with design, strategy, account, and project management teams
- Attend scientific meetings, advisory boards, and client meetings, with proven experience contributing research and content to proposals and pitch presentations
- Stay updated on current trends in medical education and pharma industry developments
- Excellent English communication skills, both verbal and written
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to ensure all content is on-brand and compliant
- Proven ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with adaptability and openness to learning
- Amenable to work from home
- Amenable to work dayshift (7 AM to 4 PM)
