Job Overview:

We are looking for a skilled BIM Coordinator who excels in managing Building Information Modeling processes and is adept at communicating complex designs to clients. The BIM Coordinator will play a crucial role in the development, coordination, and delivery of digital models, ensuring all project information is accurate, up-to-date, and accessible to stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in BIM software, excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate technical details into client-friendly presentations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. BIM Management & Coordination:
    1. Develop and maintain BIM models throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that all data is accurate, consistent, and compliant with project requirements.
    2. Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to integrate designs and resolve any conflicts within the BIM environment.
    3. Facilitate the exchange of BIM models and information between project teams, ensuring proper version control and data integrity.
  2. Client Communication & Presentation:
    1. Explain and present design concepts, BIM models, and technical details to clients in a clear and understandable manner.
    2. Work closely with clients to gather requirements, address concerns, and ensure that the final design aligns with their vision and expectations.
    3. Prepare and deliver presentations, reports, and visualizations that effectively communicate the project's progress, challenges, and outcomes.
  3. Quality Assurance & Compliance:
    1. Conduct regular audits and reviews of BIM models to ensure compliance with project standards, codes, and client requirements.
    2. Identify and address potential issues within the BIM model, providing solutions to maintain project quality and continuity.
    3. Ensure that all BIM-related activities adhere to industry best practices and company guidelines.
  4. Training & Support:
    1. Provide training and support to project teams on BIM software and processes, promoting the effective use of digital tools.
    2. Act as the primary point of contact for BIM-related queries, troubleshooting issues and providing guidance as needed.
    3. Stay updated on the latest BIM technologies, trends, and best practices, and implement improvements to enhance project delivery.
  5. Documentation & Reporting:
    1. Maintain comprehensive documentation of all BIM-related activities, including model updates, clash detection reports, and client communications.
    2. Prepare and distribute regular reports to project stakeholders, summarizing model progress, issues, and resolutions.
    3. Ensure that all project documentation is stored and organized in accordance with company and project standards.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  2. Years of experience in BIM coordination, with a strong understanding of BIM processes and technologies.
  3. Proficiency in BIM software (e.g., Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, BIM 360).
  4. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical audiences.
  5. Experience in working with multidisciplinary teams and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  6. Knowledge of construction processes, standards, and regulations.
  7. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
