Role summary The Retail Branch Head (RBH) is an important customer-facing role in IWPB Distribution. Reporting to Head of Distribution, this role is accountable for day-to-day management of all branch-related activities. The RBH acts as the external face of HSBC, presenting a joined-up and cohesive experience for customers who may have relationships with multiple entities and jurisdictions. Responsibilities Lead the HBAP branch of assignment in executing International Wealth and Premier Banking (IWPB) Strategy in growth, operational efficiency, and customer centricity Implement Target Operating Model (TOM) encompassing organizational structure, sales performance, profit and loss performance of the branch, and overall customer experience Deliver fair outcomes for customers and ensure conduct supports orderly and transparent financial market operations Deliver best-in-class customer service, drive improvements on customer journeys, deepen engagement, and prevent attrition Ensure robust branch control environment by conducting KYC, Anti-Money Laundering activities and governance, risk and compliance standards In this role, you will Lead the team to deliver the Branch’s IWPB Performance measures and plan Lead the Branch in line with TOM processes to achieve consistent management of people and delivery of service and sales to HSBC customers Match customer needs to the appropriate team member to maximise sales potential Personally manage the sales floor to ensure customer needs are met and direct customers to the most appropriate channel Coach the branch team through resourcing, training, performance reviews, and knowledge sharing Hold regular meetings to communicate and address issues and successes Ensure operations are undertaken in accordance with HSBC policies and guidelines Collaborate with the Customer Service Manager and other stakeholders to monitor, review, and streamline procedures; conduct RBH Branch Checklist and RCA as needed Qualifications / Requirements Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics or related fields; MBA or post-graduate degree preferred Proven ability in team leadership and management Proven ability in retail sales and relationship management in the retail sector Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire, influence and negotiate Coaching in sales techniques and sales management Strong planning, organizing, analytical and problem-solving skills Attain appropriate professional and regulatory qualifications as required by market Candidate with less relevant experience or skills may be offered a lower Global Career Band level than stated above.
