Vendor Governance Management Analyst

Overview Manulife Quezon City, National Capital Region, Philippines The Analyst – Vendor Governance Management reports locally to the Director, 3rd Party Vendor Risk Governance in MBPS and supports the Sr. Director, Vendor Governance Management in Canada (Business Unit). The role is responsible for ensuring effective risk management of the Company’s vendors globally as part of the first line of defense. The Vendor Risk Analyst will monitor and manage vendor risk through risk assessment of Procurement intake requests, conduct pre-screening questionnaires with the business to determine risk ratings, and support mailbox management or other required Vendor Governance team reports. The incumbent must influence others to assess and monitor vendor risk and follow vendor risk management policy, with a deep understanding of risk management principles to ensure compliance with the Company’s Outsourcing and Third-Party Risk Management Policy. Position Responsibilities Own the intake process at the Vendor Governance level by actioning intakes, risk stratifying requests, managing customer requests, and acting as the face of the Vendor Governance Managers Understand and probe to assess project/request details Assess complexity and risk level of submissions to determine the appropriate procurement process and involved SMEs Interact with business owners, Subject Matter Experts, and senior management to complete pre-screening questions in a timely and high-quality manner Understand the end-to-end procurement process and integration points to address business requests efficiently and avoid bottlenecks Actively monitor the Ivalua Intake Tool to ensure needs are captured accurately from start to finish Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the role Stay informed about developments in vendor risk management Ensure Third-Party Risk Module data alignment and accuracy Support in other required Vendor Governance team reports Implement controls to ensure data integrity and accuracy across the reporting workflow Monitor and manage VGM mailboxes to capture business needs from start to finish Perform any other job-related instructions as required Complete ad hoc tasks or projects as needed Required Qualifications 2+ years of experience in Vendor Governance, Vendor Management, Third-Party Risk, Corporate Procurement, or Contact Center with experience delivering reports to stakeholders; 3+ years in a professional environment is preferred Graduate of a 4-year degree Ability to work in night shift or other shifts required to optimally support the business Knowledge of risk and control practices, procedures and principles Preferred Qualifications Excellent communication (written and spoken) and problem-solving capabilities Strong interpersonal skills and service-oriented attitude toward stakeholders and customers Strong organizational skills with the ability to set priorities, manage multiple demands, and meet strict timelines Proficiency with MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint Attention to detail, quality, and accountability; professional and ethical conduct with customers and vendors Self-starter with initiative and good judgement Working Arrangement Hybrid Seniority level Mid-Senior level Employment type Full-time Job function Business Development and Sales Industries: Insurance About Manulife and John Hancock: Manulife Financial Corporation is a leading international financial services provider.
