The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Data Administrator to manage, optimise and evolve our enterprise systems. This is a high-visibility role working closely with the CIO, Driving critical IT initiatives across our ERP and database landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and optimise Oracle database systems to ensure peak performance and availability.
  • Manage our ERP system (IFS Cloud preferred): troubleshooting, updates, modifications and integrations.
  • Monitor and tune database performance to deliver improved operational efficiency.
  • Execute system changes and updates following ITIL best-practice change management.
  • Perform regular database backups, recovery testing and system audits to ensure integrity and continuity.
  • Collaborate across business functions to refine ERP workflows aligned with operational needs.
  • Prepare and deliver detailed performance reports and system updates to the CIO and senior leadership.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' proven experience in Oracle database administration and maintenance.
  • Demonstrated in-depth experience working with ERP systems—ideally IFS Cloud or similar enterprise ERP platforms.
  • Strong familiarity with ITIL principles and change-management frameworks.
  • Advanced analytical skills for database/system performance optimisation.
  • Excellent communication and reporting capabilities, with experience presenting to senior-leadership.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent; Oracle DBA certification is highly desirable.
