SUPERVISORY

  • Overseeing the Collection Department
  • Training, monitoring, and managing the Collection Specialists and their assigned accounts and performance
  • Managing, monitoring, and reporting KPIs, collection reports, and collection issues, and making recommendations
  • Monitor and approval of collections specialist DTRs
  • Other collection works as needed to meet the expected business targets

COLLECTION SPECIALIST

  • Reviewing open accounts for collection efforts
  • Making outbound collection calls in a professional manner while keeping and improving client relations
  • Resolves client payment concerns and rescues accounts receivable delinquency, applying good customer service in a timely manner
  • Collect customer payments in accordance with payment due dates
  • Identify issues attributing to account delinquency and discuss them with Collection Team
  • Review and monitor assigned accounts and all applicable collection reports
  • Provide timely follow-up on payment arrangements

About the role

Yinshan Lending Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Collection Team Leader to join our dynamic team in Makati City, Metro Manila. As the Collection Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our collection's operations, leading a team of dedicated collectors and ensuring efficient debt recovery processes.

What you'll be doing

  • Manage and supervise a team of collections agents, providing guidance, training and performance feedback to ensure optimal results
  • Develop and implement effective collections strategies and processes to maximise debt recovery
  • Monitor and analyse team performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless collections operations and customer service
  • Maintain detailed records and reporting on collections activities, progress and outcomes
  • Foster a positive and motivating team culture, encouraging continuous learning and professional development
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations and company policies governing collections practices

What we're looking for

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a collections or customer service supervisory role, preferably in the financial services industry
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with both customers and internal stakeholders
  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting, with the ability to interpret and utilise performance metrics to drive improvements
  • Thorough understanding of collections regulations, policies and best practices
  • Proven track record of successfully driving collections performance and meeting or exceeding targets
  • Adaptable and resilient, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Job Qualifications:

  • Completed at least 2 years of college.
  • Minimum 12 months experience in Healthcare Account Receivable/Collections in a BPO setting.
  • Familiarity with UB Claims and UB04 forms.
  • Experience in medical billing/AR collections.
  • Background in calling insurance (Payer) for claim status and payment disputes.
  • Familiar with EPIC SYSTEM.
  • Willing to work on-site in Taguig.
  • Experience in a BPO Healthcare Account is required.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Read contracts for payment disputes.
  • Work on the provider side.
  • Verify claim status and collect unpaid claims from insurance.
  • Process claims payments, manage denials, and track claim statuses.
  • Manage collections for healthcare unpaid claims.
  • Interact with customers to ensure invoice accuracy and resolve claims discrepancies.
  • Provide input on policies, systems, methods, and procedures for premium collection management.
  • Educate customers on online applications for claims and payments.
  • Monitor outstanding balances and ensure clients pay as billed.
  • Prepare invoices and reconcile billing with accounts receivables.
  • Conduct quality assurance and audits of collection activities.
  • Handle documents, emails, and calls related to account processes.
  • Perform accounts receivable collections, follow-up, denial management, claims payment processing, tracking, and appeals for hospital processes.
