Job Overview

• Deliver projects and tasks as task lead
• Work with and provide support to senior and principal engineers within the structures team to deliver assigned tasks and projects
• Work with other stream leaders and principals and provide structures input where required
• Train and mentor junior engineers as required
• Build capability in portfolio and CIMIC Operating Companies
  

Your Responsibilities:

• Comply with and ensure all team operations are compliant with the requirements of the CIMIC and EIC Activities’ Procurement Policy, DoA and RASCI Model, and identify and immediately act upon any areas of unacceptable exposure or risk to the business and its objectives.
• Manage resource plans and resourcing budget to ensure cost – effective resourcing for EIC Activities operations and projects.
• When assigned as an assisting engineer to a senior engineer on a project, complete the following:
  Being engaged and understanding the process from the beginning to the end;
  Learn both overarching methods of delivery and specific procedures for all details (e.g. technical methods)
  Completion of GTDSs and Case Studies and reports; and
  Collection and sharing of knowledge and technical solutions from bids and projects
• Be involved in collaboration and communication with EIC Activities and with CIMIC OpCo Business Streams / Units to maximise the value offering and learning of the individual within the market and provide a consistent and unified message to all external stakeholders.
• Use and support EICA communication protocols, noting that no external communications are to be published or presented without prior General Manager approval.
• Visit OpCo project sites and actively identify safety issues
• Comply with, use, support and promote and ensure all staff in portfolio are conversant and compliant with the EIC Activities Safety and Health Management Plan and Quality Manual as published.
• Never undertake work unless all processes to ensure that all risks have been addressed in accordance with the EIC Activities Management System. Be constantly aware of your own safety and the safety of those around you.
• Influence and drive continuous improvement through the development of a culture of safety and sustainability leadership, innovation, high performance, and accountability.
• Demonstrate behaviour that is consistent with the CIMIC Group and EIC Activities’ Principles and Codes of Business Conduct.
• Communicate EIC’s Core Purpose to direct reports, colleagues and operational leaders.
• Lead and foster relationships with external stakeholders to proactively shape opportunities for internal and external partnering, industry and market / business development.

What our Client is Looking For:

• Tertiary Degree (Bachelor level) in Engineering (Civil)
• Master’s degree (Civil Engineering)
• 5 years’ experience in the engineering consulting or construction industry.
• Exposure to multi-discipline engineering or construction delivery.
• Experience in working on major tenders.
• Experience in coordinating and delivering structures aspects of major multidisciplinary projects
• Excellent engineering skills in structures engineering field
• Ability to work collaboratively with stakeholders including other EIC portfolios and teams, and CIMIC OpCo clients
• Business risk identification and mitigation skills and the ability to drive compliance and provide effective governance.
