CLIENT BACKGROUND Our client is a boutique accounting and advisory firm based in Australia, working with a wide range of businesses across industries like hospitality, construction, health and wellness, and other services. They focus on building long-term, relationship-based partnerships with their clients, delivering proactive and tailored financial guidance, not just reactive number-crunching. Their setup is lean, cloud-based, and fully remote. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks for multiple clients, including bank and credit card reconciliations; Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records; Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general journal entries; Manage payroll and superannuation for Australian clients; Prepare and file activity statements (BAS/IAS); Collaborate with the team to support month-end processes and ensure timely delivery of reports; Manage receipt processing and documentation; Flag issues early, provide suggested resolutions, and communicate openly with the team; Support onboarding of new clients and contribute to improving SOPs and workflows. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field; 3–5 years of AU bookkeeping experience in AU based firm, managing multiple clients; Proven experience managing Australian payroll, superannuation, and BAS/IAS; Strong proficiency with Xero (required); exposure to Karbon is highly preferred; High attention to detail, excellent organization skills, and ability to meet deadlines consistently; Excellent verbal and written communication skills. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have a reliable high-speed internet connection (at least 50–100 Mbps) and a quiet, dedicated home office; Personal equipment meeting these minimum specs; 2 monitors, Windows 11/macOS 11/Thin Client; Intel i5 Quad-core 2.5GHz+, 16 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD+ Willing to have client-installed security tools on personal equipment if required; Comfortable working independently and managing time effectively with minimal supervision.
