We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Developer to join us. To be successful in this role, you will have deep knowledge and experience of developing WordPress plugins. You will have the option to choose your own hours from 32 up to 40 per week, and you can work remotely from anywhere in the world. We simply ask that you have 4 hours of crossover with UK working hours per day. Lead Developer – WordPress Competitive Salary (depending on experience) Fully Remote What you’ll be doing Work in PHP, JavaScript and WordPress libraries to write clean, efficient and secure code Line‑manage the plugin development team Ensure tasks are assigned, reviewed and completed by the team Maintain high technical standards in the code base Leverage the lead architect’s knowledge to set the best direction for the plugin Identify priorities and resolve blockers Act as the key point of contact for technical queries related to the plugin Liaise with QA and Product Managers to align development work with wider business goals Your exact responsibilities will depend on your experience, how this fits with other members of the team and subject to discussion and agreement. Requirements You'll definitely need experience with PHP – developing WordPress plugins JavaScript – important though smaller part of the role Managing other developers Working with key stakeholders It would be nice if you have experience with GitHub / GitLab / Git – nice to have, but can be learned quickly by good developers used to alternatives like SVN.
