Retail Propositions Manager (Retail GI Category)

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The role will be responsible for developing the strategy and managing its implementation to grow the General Insurance (GI) product line/category by collaborating with and influencing different business units including Marketing, Distribution & Operations.

The role will also oversee propositions development for the GI category.

  • Formulate and execute marketing programs to promote the GI category, aiming to increase revenue and attract new customers.
  • Leverage internal and external resources to deliver compelling marketing initiatives, including offline and online collaterals, advertising, PR, sales toolkits, and training.
  • Coordinate with advertising agencies, PR agencies, outsourced vendors, and marketing colleagues to implement marketing plans.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Strategy and Category Management

o Collaborate with stakeholders to set and refine the overall business strategy for expanding and maintaining the GI product category.

o Translate category strategies into tactical initiatives related to branding, products, and distribution, working with respective business units.

o Increase category awareness through communication strategies targeting specific customer segments, working with the Brand & Communications team, including:

  • Managing all GI-related communications for customers and distributors.

o Influence the sales process across digital platforms and enhance the customer journey for retail GI by working with Distribution, CEX, Operations, Digital team, and front-line staff.

o Provide strategic input for channel/distribution and operations strategies aligned with business needs.

  • Propositions Development

o Conceptualize relevant customer propositions.

  • Conduct research on customer preferences, competitor offerings, and AXA’s market position and performance.
  • Identify and address gaps in customer needs.

o Develop marketing plans and coordinate their execution with marketing and channels.

o Collaborate with product development and pricing teams, providing guidance on customer and distributor considerations.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Graduate/Post-Graduate degree in business management or related fields.
  • Insurance Risk Management/Product Management qualifications are advantageous.
  • At least 3 years of experience in the Non-Life Insurance industry, with a proven track record in product, marketing, or sales management, including setting up or managing a business line.
  • Understanding of Non-Life Insurance products in the market.
  • Experience in brand development and business growth is advantageous.
  • Background in GI and network within the non-life insurance industry are pluses.
