Carries out preventative maintenance. Completes all duties according to applicable safety measures and published procedures. Assists field technicians with diagnostic checks and symptom analysis. Keeps an up-to-date inventory of mechanical tools. Identifies malfunctions and then carries out repairs. Interprets test plans and procedures. Regulates downtime by enlightening production staff on standard preventive maintenance methods and monitoring their compliance. Oversees mechanical devices while in operation and listens for complications using accurate testing and measuring instruments. Cleans and lubricates gears, shafts, bearings, and other machinery parts. Ascertains changes in the dimensional requirements of parts by examining used parts and utilizing micrometers, rules, calipers, and other measuring tools. Ensures that all mechanical equipment is running in safe conditions. Ensures that all motor, pump, blower, and other mechanical equipment are getting a daily visual check. Maintains a tidy work environment and adheres to industry regulations. Qualifications At least 1 year of total experience as a mechanical technician. Knowledge and experience with rotating equipment (pumps and blowers). Knowledge in maintenance and repair.
