Overview

OutTask is looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Administration Officer (Accounting) to support an Australian professional services firm. This role is ideal for someone with strong organisational skills who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is confident managing multiple systems and processes.

Role Description

This is a full-time remote role for an Administration Officer (Accounting). The Administration Officer will be responsible for general administrative tasks, assisting with accounting functions, managing communications, providing customer service, and maintaining organization within the office. Key tasks include handling invoice processing, financial record-keeping, responding to customer inquiries, and supporting day-to-day office operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and update spreadsheets to keep managers informed on key deadlines
  • Support process workflows across multiple platforms
  • Prepare and circulate weekly budget reports
  • Assist with structure charts, registers, and process streamlining
  • Provide support with Xero file setup, reporting, and fixes
  • Draft newsletters and manage website/social media updates
  • Monitor WIP and prepare invoices for review
  • General admin support, including client communication and data entry
  • Occasional assistance with individual returns and related tasks
About You
  • Previous administration experience (accounting/professional services a plus)
  • Strong English communication skills (written and spoken)
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Comfortable with cloud-based software and eager to learn new systems
  • Reliable internet connection and a professional home workspace

Qualifications
