Job Description The Transportation Supervisor is critical in overseeing the entire transportation operation, ensuring timely, safe, and cost-effective delivery of finished products to customers. The position requires managing the fleet of trucks and vans, coordinating daily dispatch and delivery schedules, monitoring vehicle maintenance, and optimizing routing for efficiency and cost savings. Responsibilities Coordinate with internal departments to ensure a seamless flow of goods and handle scheduling changes or urgent requests. Supervise company-owned and third-party fleets to ensure vehicles meet safety and efficiency standards. Monitor transportation expenses and seek cost-reduction opportunities through contract renegotiation and routing improvements. Build and maintain relationships with external transportation providers, negotiate contracts, manage performance via SLAs, and resolve conflicts. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, including load limits, driver hours, safety standards. Maintain customer satisfaction by ensuring timely delivery and addressing delivery issues promptly. Oversee claims management, training and development, freight settlement, and cost distribution processes. Generate reports such as monthly cost savings and freight cost analysis. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree holder in any business-related or engineering course. Experience At least 1-2 year of experience in logistics in a supervisory function. Other Requirements Computer literacy in data processing and required software. Knowledge of Oracle Transport Management is an advantage. Strong interpersonal relationship skills. Planning and organizing skills. Knowledge of basic mathematics. Effective written and verbal communication. Sense of urgency. Good negotiation skills.
