Overview

Media Relations Manager role at AboitizPower . The role will support the Public Relations AVP in strengthening our corporate reputation with key middle management level media, PR-related associations, and other identified stakeholders. The incumbent will establish, grow and maintain relationships with select print & broadcast media personalities, and other industry influencers with interests in energy, sustainability, technology, and business.

The position is primarily responsible for managing AP Corporate Affairs (AP CA) agencies tasked for PR, media buying, and research. It also covers end-to-end delivery of events & activities to foster deeper relationships with media stakeholders. The role includes writing, editing, seeding, tracking, monitoring and measuring stories released to the media, and developing media relations programs and crisis communication.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Public Relations AVP to strengthen corporate reputation with media and PR-related stakeholders.
  • Establish, grow and maintain relationships with print & broadcast media personalities and industry influencers in energy, sustainability, technology, and business.
  • Manage AP Corporate Affairs (AP CA) agencies for PR, media buying, and research.
  • Deliver events and activities end-to-end to foster deeper relationships with media stakeholders.
  • Write, edit, seed, track, monitor, and measure stories released to the media.
  • Develop media relations programs and crisis communications plans.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism, Business Management, Communication, Economics, or related fields.
  • At least 6 years of related experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in team management.
  • At least 6 years of experience in media relations and corporate communications.
