PSSLAI is committed to serving its members through innovative financial products and exceptional service. We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven leader to head our Sales Management Department (SMD) and drive strategic sales initiatives across our nationwide operations.
Position Summary:
The Head of the Sales Management Department leads the development and execution of strategic sales initiatives to ensure institutional sales targets are met and exceeded. This role demands thoughtful planning, data-driven decision-making, strong field leadership, and effective cross-functional collaboration. Beyond managing numbers, the role focuses on building a performance-driven sales culture rooted in service, accountability, and member engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement strategic sales plans that align with both long-term growth objectives and short-term performance targets.
Lead, coach, and mentor the nationwide sales team, including regular visits to satellite offices and branches, to consistently surpass sales goals.
Set, monitor, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets, identifying gaps and applying corrective actions as needed.
Leverage sales data and analytics to track trends, forecast performance, and guide campaign direction, product focus, and area-specific strategies.
Collaborate closely with Marketing, Product Development, and Operations to ensure sales alignment with branding, product availability, pricing, and readiness.
Design and oversee continuous learning and development programs to ensure consistent knowledge of products, selling techniques, and member service across the sales force.
Represent PSSLAI at events, field activities, and official functions with key partner agencies such as the PNP and BFP, strengthening institutional relationships and identifying new business opportunities.
Prepare and present insightful sales reports to the Executive Committee and Board of Trustees, highlighting performance drivers, challenges, and actionable recommendations.
Qualifications & Competencies:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field; MBA is an advantage.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in sales or business development, including at least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role, preferably within banking, financial services, or related industries.
Proven leadership experience managing sales teams and consistently achieving or exceeding targets.
Strong expertise in sales planning, forecasting, and performance analysis.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Highly analytical and results-oriented, with the ability to translate data into actionable strategies.
Willingness and ability to travel regularly for field visits and partner engagements.
High level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to service excellence.
Preferred background in sales leadership within savings and loan associations, cooperatives, microfinance, or rural banking.
Familiarity with the needs and behaviors of public safety personnel (e.g., PNP, BFP) is an advantage.
