Inventory Compliance and Audit Specialist

The Inventory Compliance and Audit Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of all inventory-related activities. This role oversees inventory processes, conducts regular audits, identifies discrepancies, and implements corrective actions to maintain accurate records and adherence to company standards and policies. The position supports the organization in minimizing inventory variances, preventing losses, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and audit requirements. Key Responsibilities: Conduct regular and surprise audits of inventory across all warehouse and store locations. Verify accuracy of stock records against physical counts and system data. Review inventory transactions, including receiving, transfers, adjustments, and sales, to ensure proper documentation and compliance with company procedures. Investigate and report inventory discrepancies, shrinkage, or losses, and recommend corrective actions. Monitor adherence to inventory policies, stock handling, and audit standards. Coordinate with warehouse, store, and accounting teams to ensure timely reconciliation of inventory variances. Assist in developing and implementing inventory control procedures and audit checklists. Prepare detailed audit and compliance reports with analysis and recommendations for management. Support periodic physical inventory counts and participate in cycle count validation. Ensure compliance with company policies, operational procedures, and safety standards. Qualifications: College graduate , preferably in Accounting, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. At least 1–2 years of experience in inventory control, compliance, or audit-related roles. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Knowledge of inventory management systems, audit processes, and internal controls. Proficient in MS Excel and familiar with ERP or POS systems.
