Your mission

General Functions:
The Procurement Specialist is responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and purchasing goods and services for the organization. This role involves researching suppliers, negotiating contracts, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring that all procurement activities align with company policies, budget constraints, and quality standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Monitor inventory and manage daily purchase tasks for the Swiss HQ, Italian and US facility via the ERP (planning worksheet).
  • Working directly with Swiss, European and US based vendors.
  • Flexible and willing to work with US time zone
  • Review the materials requirements plan (MRP)
  • Issue purchase orders to suppliers
  • Expedite and track open orders (Not in Stock parts) to ensure on-time delivery from suppliers.
  • Participate in cross-functional project teams.
  • Monitor freight methods and recommend best service to minimize cost.
  • Manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods and timely delivery.
  • Prepare and manage request for quotes (RFQ)
  • Prepare and assist price negotiations as well as cost savings and multi-sourcing opportunities together with cross-functional teams.
  • Communicate status of critical Purchase Orders within Operations Management in a timely manner
  • Ability to read and understand simple technical drawings and specification requirements.
  • Responsible for fast invoice resolution together with Account Payable
  • Being responsible for master data accuracy (i.e. lead times, standard prices) in ERP system
  • Further tasks not described here that are assigned by the leader/manager verbally or written.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business or any related field
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills
