About the Role

We are looking for a Head of Procurement to lead and optimize our procurement function and ensure the seamless flow of materials and services for our growing operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end procurement process for Actuate Builders, Inc., ensuring timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials and services.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company goals, focusing on cost reduction, supplier management, and risk mitigation.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors to ensure reliable and high-quality supply chains.
  • Collaborate with project teams, engineering, and operations to forecast procurement needs and plan for upcoming project requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, legal regulations, and sustainability practices, with a focus on ethical and transparent sourcing.
  • Oversee a team of procurement associates, ensuring their development and alignment with company goals.
  • Monitor market trends, pricing, and supplier capabilities to provide insights and recommendations for strategic decision-making.
  • Optimize procurement processes through automation and technology, including SAP integration, to improve efficiency and transparency.
  • Manage procurement budgets and ensure procurement activities stay within financial constraints.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to the executive leadership on procurement activities, challenges, and opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • At least 10 years of experience in procurement, with 5 years in a leadership role, preferably in the construction or manufacturing sector.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, supplier relationship management, and contract negotiations.
  • Proven experience in leading teams, managing supplier performance, and driving cost-saving initiatives.
  • Expertise in procurement software, preferably SAP, and a solid understanding of ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of procurement best practices.
  • Expertise in procurement software, preferably SAP.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Master’s degree in a related field.
  • Experience in the construction or manufacturing sector.
  • Proven experience in leading teams.
