Responsibilities System Design & Development: Lead the architecture, implementation, and rollout of complex systems and infrastructure environments. Technical Leadership: Provide guidance and mentorship to engineers, promoting best practices and maintaining high engineering standards. Requirements Management: Collect, evaluate, and document system requirements from stakeholders to ensure solutions align with business objectives. Integration & Testing: Direct system integration, testing, and validation efforts to confirm seamless interaction between all components. Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor systems and fine-tune performance to maintain reliability, scalability, and security. Project Management: Oversee project schedules, budgets, and deliverables to ensure successful execution of engineering projects. Collaboration & Communication: Coordinate closely with software, hardware, and network teams to deliver cohesive, integrated solutions. Compliance & Security: Ensure system designs adhere to industry standards, cybersecurity best practices, and relevant regulatory guidelines. Incident & Risk Management: Proactively identify risks, resolve system-related issues, and implement measures to prevent recurrence. Continuous Improvement: Champion innovation by evaluating emerging technologies and recommending enhancements to existing systems. Qualified candidates will have multiple years of experience and expertise in maintaining Windows-based networks. The candidate must be technically proficient and capable of resolving a wide range of workstation, network, and server issues. They should be able to manage multiple technologies consistently while supporting the Intelinet Cloud Solution. This role involves direct work on customer environments, so strong communication skills are essential. CompTIA, Microsoft, and Cisco certifications are highly advantageous, and a commitment to pursuing ongoing industry certifications is expected. Candidates must be self-driven, demonstrate outstanding customer service, and uphold the highest standards of integrity. Qualifications 8+ years of experience in system engineering, including 2+ years in a leadership capacity Experience working in customer environments Excellent customer relationship skills Thrives in a team environment Exhibits strong interpersonal and communication skills Multitasks in a fast-paced environment Sharp troubleshooting skills Ability work independently Organizational and mentoring skills Mentor team members on technical issues Use of remote access tools such as LogMeIn and Screen Connect is a plus Automate tasks and monitor their effectiveness Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Willingness to learn ConnectWise PSA Maintain complete technical documentation NETWORKING Solid background in network administration and architecture In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g. BGP, OSPF) Technical certifications preferred (A+, MCTS, VTSP, CCENT, or CCNA) Design and deploy functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN, VPN) Installing and configuring networking hardware Configuration of routers, switches, wireless, and firewalls Design Firewall Configurations that include NAT, PNAT, ACL, Content & Application Policies Design Wireless configurations using SSID & Authentication methods like LDAP, RADIUS Configure VLANs and network segregation Suggest improvements to network performance, capacity, and scalability Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools Monitor network performance and integrity Conducting regular network performance tests Create and implement network security measures SERVERS, CLOUD, & SECURITY Server 2016+ design, build, maintenance, and management Ability to create and deploy physical and virtual server infrastructure Management of Lights out Management and Lifecycle Management using iDrac or other methods Understanding and ability to support Hyper-V, VMware, Failover Clusters and HA Environments Ability to administrate Active Directory and other primary server roles DNS, DHCP, Print, File Ability to design and administer Disaster Recovery Solutions and Infrastructure Ability to administrate Azure and Entra ID Ability to administrate Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams Understanding of Security Authentication methods like MFA, TOTP, SSO, Conditional Access, Zero Trust Strong understanding of virus and malware detection and cleaning techniques Create, oversee and test security measures (e.g. access authentication and disaster recovery) WORKSTATIONS Windows 10/11 design, build, maintenance, and management Local, Active Directory, & Entra ID join devices Manage Profiles, Migrations, Application Troubleshooting Installation and configuration of modern software Schedule: Graveyard Shift Setup: Remote Why Join STAFFVIRTUAL?
