Job Summary: We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer – Azure to lead the design, implementation, and management of cloud-based solutions on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will have deep experience with Azure infrastructure, automation, systems engineering, and DevOps practices, ensuring the stability, performance, and scalability of cloud environments. Key Responsibilities: Design, deploy, and manage scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure solutions in Microsoft Azure. Lead cloud migration efforts from on-premises to Azure or hybrid environments. Configure and manage Azure services including but not limited to Azure Virtual Machines, Azure AD, VNets, NSGs, Azure Monitor, and Azure Backup. Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates. Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions to ensure system reliability and performance. Collaborate with DevOps, development, and security teams to ensure infrastructure aligns with CI/CD pipelines and security best practices. Troubleshoot and resolve complex systems issues across the Azure environment. Optimize cost and performance of Azure services and recommend improvements. Document system configurations, procedures, and best practices. Stay up to date on emerging Azure technologies and recommend their adoption when applicable. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of experience in systems engineering or cloud infrastructure. 3+ years of hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure. Strong expertise in Azure services such as Azure VMs, Azure Active Directory, Azure Networking, and Azure Storage. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep. Proficiency in PowerShell, Azure CLI, or other scripting tools for automation. Solid understanding of networking (DNS, VPN, IP, load balancing) in cloud environments. Experience with CI/CD tools and integrating infrastructure into DevOps pipelines. Familiarity with security and compliance best practices in Azure environments. Preferred Qualifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert or similar Azure certification. Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes, AKS). Experience working in regulated environments (e.g., finance, healthcare). Knowledge of Windows and Linux systems administration. Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and documentation abilities. Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
