Junior Accountant

Junior Accountant (New Zealand Experience - Remote) Location: Philippines (Remote) Shift: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM PHT Experience Required: Minimum 1-2 years in a New Zealand accounting firm TOA Global is seeking a Junior Accountant to support clients in the accounting industry. Our global footprint spans Australia, New Zealand, North America, and the Philippines. What you’ll do Tax knowledge including preparation of tax returns, activity statements, and knowledge of latest New Zealand tax rules Preparation of work papers and reconciliation to financial statement stage Preparation of financial statements, income tax returns and other lodgements for companies, partnerships, trusts and a range of individual businesses Assist with general bookkeeping duties Assist clients with tax planning, GST, bookkeeping Business advisory projects such as budgets, cashflows, management reporting Ensure all documentation including work papers and client files are maintained in line with the organization's compliance requirements What we’re looking for Accounting degree or a related degree with a major in accounting Completed or working towards CA / CPA At least 1-2 years accounting & taxation experiences within New Zealand Basic understanding of New Zealand taxation legislation, including GST, FBT, Companies Act Ability to identify issues and communicate effectively Experience with MYOB, Xero, Reckon, QuickBooks, Excel Experience with Reckon APS program (desirable) Proficient English writing and verbal skills Excellent communication skills with strong relationship and stakeholder management Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritise workload Collaborative, team player who builds strong internal relationships across the organization Ability to meet productivity and turnaround metrics What’s in it for you Health Insurance and Life Insurance coverage 21 annual paid leaves Annual increase (Annual Performance Review) Tenure Recognition Program Access to certifications and courses from Ab2 Institute of Accounting 20+ options of free coffee and chocolate drinks Billiards, table tennis, or foosball in breakout rooms Work-life balance and logging off on time for personal time Diverse, supportive and high-achieving team environment Ongoing training, development and career progression opportunities Free onsite parking Company values Join TOA Global and experience the difference We embrace diversity and inclusion to unlock innovation and excellence Seniority level Entry level Employment type Full-time Job function Accounting/Auditing #J-18808-Ljbffr
