Job Purpose Overall responsible for managing and regulating the company’s stock movement, establishing controls for receiving, storing, transferring, and fulfilling orders. Ensures goods are available to meet customer demand at all times while maintaining high inventory accuracy to prevent overstocking, short or wrong picks, and inventory losses or write–offs. Responsibilities Inventory Tracking: Monitor physical stock levels versus the system, implement inventory control systems, and conduct cycle counts and audits. Coordination: Collaborate with each distribution centre site to ensure smooth operations and accurate inventory records. Data Analysis: Analyse inventory data to identify gaps, forecast future needs, and recommend process improvements. Team Management: Supervise and train the inventory management group (IMG) staff, including hiring and performance management. Process Improvement: Identify and implement strategies to improve inventory management and control processes, enhancing efficiency. Other tasks as may be required by the business. Skills and Qualifications 10+ years of inventory management expertise/experience. Strong understanding of inventory control principles, systems, and best practices. Analytical skills: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data‑driven decisions. Communication skills: Effectively communicate with internal teams and external vendors. Organizational skills: Manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain accurate records. Problem‑solving skills: Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies and process issues. Leadership skills: Supervise and motivate a multi‑location team, including hiring and performance management. Technical proficiency: Familiarity with inventory management tools and related technologies.
