Overview

Business Development Manager, SMB at ByteDance focuses on helping businesses and brands of all sizes leverage ads on the platform. The SMB team combines operational excellence with a customer-centric approach to support clients in achieving their marketing goals, delivering best-in-class tools and products.

Responsibilities
  • Prospect, qualify, pitch and close new business opportunities for the Ads Platform
  • Collaborate with marketing teams on lead-generation initiatives
  • Build and manage a pipeline of business
  • Consult with decision makers and align Ads strategies with identified marketing and business objectives
  • Onboard new clients onto the Ads Platform and set them up for long-term success
  • Consistently reach or exceed performance goals, while delivering a best-in-class experience to clients
  • Lead the full sales cycle with customers not yet on the platform, from prospecting to closing, and manage the customer in the initial months before fast-tracking to Account Management
  • Work cross-functionally with marketing and in-country teams to determine growth industries and execute strategies
  • Manage and develop business relationships with clients from local markets and China
Qualifications
  • Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or above
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in sales and/or business development
  • Deep understanding of Small and Medium Business industry
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in pipeline building through prospecting and outreach to new customers
  • Proven track record of exceeding performance targets
  • Comfortable with Mandarin communications to develop business relationships with clients across China
