Sr. HQRM Supervisor position: provides direct supervisory and administrative support to personnel in the department, including staffing levels, workload prioritization, space usage and equipment maintenance. Manages the efficient workflow of staff to ensure high quality and efficient delivery of services to internal and external stakeholders. Attends court proceedings to represent the hospital in cases involving subpoenas of medical/clinical records. Enforces the company’s records and PhilHealth claims policy. Answers official inquiries by correspondence or by telephone regarding information recorded in a patient’s chart. May lead cross-functional projects aimed at improving specific areas of department services.
Additionally, the role administers performance improvement plans for staff, participates in CQI activities, assists the medical and hospital staff in research projects, and communicates with the Department Manager regarding progress and potential problems in the department.
Job Duties & Responsibilities- Plans, directs, evaluates, coordinates, and effectively executes work functions relevant to the accurate interpretation of all Philippine Health Insurance (PhilHealth) and Department of Health (DOH) programs in alignment with CHH’s policies and processes.
- Attends court proceedings and represents the hospital in court cases involving subpoenas of medical/clinical records.
- Plans, organizes, implements and evaluates all medical records services for the organization.
- Ensures the maintenance of the patient’s right to privacy and confidentiality.
- Identifies and formulates appropriate plans, tasks timelines, responsibilities, and expected results.
- Implements the formulated plans to achieve the expected results within identified timelines.
- Assists Medical/Hospital Staff in research projects.
- Answers inquiries regarding information recorded in the patient’s charts through correspondence or by telephone.
- Prepares and analyzes pertinent data as required by immediate superior or management.
- Recommends changes and updates in processes, policies, procedures or standards in the department to improve quality of service.
- Recommends, participates, and ensures implementation of processes and policies to continuously improve service quality in the department.
- Leads or directs the team to identify performance gaps and formulate strategic interventions for continuous improvement when required.
- Assists in the development and placement of safety strategies and continuous quality improvement of service initiatives in the department.
- Oversees daily operations of the area/section to ensure efficient and effective management of services; supervises unit personnel and achieves human resource objectives.
- May conduct performance appraisal of cross-functional team members.
- Attends meetings relevant to MRS and participates in Operational Excellence Division activities; stays abreast of current medical records practices.
- Must have a college degree; units in Anatomy, Physiology, and Accounting are an advantage.
- At least five (5) years of relevant work experience with prior supervisory experience.
- Healthcare industry experience is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks; results-oriented.
- Demonstrated leadership to build and maintain relationships with Chong Hua Hospital stakeholders and drive business strategies and results.
- Proficiency with basic corporate office software, including Microsoft Office 365.
- Good communication skills. Proficiency in Visayan dialect and/or Tagalog is required; ability to communicate well in English is an advantage.
