The Finance and Accounting Supervisor supervises and directs a team responsible for general ledger, accounts payable & receivable, check processing, exception items, fixed asset, and cost accounting. The role prepares periodic reports, reviews and reconciles data, participates in financial data and analytics development, and contributes to budget preparation. The Supervisor ensures finance processes comply with company policies, standards, and governmental requirements. Key Duties / Responsibilities General Accounting : Handles both AR and AP teams and is primarily responsible for GL/balance sheet analysis. Tax and Other Regulatory Reporting : Reviews regular tax returns and ensures timely filing and payment to avoid penalties; manages taxes, permits, and dues to LGUs and other regulatory bodies; coordinates tax assessments & audits with consultants; prepares reports for regulatory bodies. Administrative : Supervises daily accounting activities; maintains confidential documents and filing systems; ensures easy retrieval for audits; performs other functions assigned by the Finance Manager. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in accountancy. At least 5 years of related experience in general accounting/financial reporting in a corporate setup, with at least 2 years managing a team. Hands‑on experience with accounting entries, month‑end closing activities, recurring entries, accruals, and deferrals.
