Role Overview

As a Senior Embedded Software Developer, you will lead the design and development of scalable and reliable solutions for residential gateway devices, ensuring top performance and innovation at scale. You’ll guide a team of developers while collaborating with hardware engineers, vendors, and product managers to architect, integrate, and optimize complex features with precision. Beyond development, you’ll drive system-level optimization, resolve critical post-production issues, and champion forward-thinking solutions that shape the future of our technology.

Specific Duties And Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and development of robust embedded software solutions for residential gateway devices, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance at scale.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration with hardware engineers, vendors, and product managers to define, architect, and integrate complex features with precision and efficiency.
  • Own system-level optimization, proactively identifying and resolving bottlenecks to enhance stability and resource utilization.
  • Set the standard for code quality, conducting rigorous code reviews and enforcing best practices across the team.
  • Provide expert-level support in post-production environments, swiftly diagnosing and resolving critical issues.
  • Mentor and elevate junior developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Champion innovation, bringing forward new ideas, tools, and methodologies that push the boundaries of what our technology can achieve.
Core Competencies
  • 8+ years of proven expertise in embedded software development.
  • 8+ years of proficiency in C/C++ programming within Linux environments.
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience with OpenWRT.
  • 8+ years of practical experience with U-Boot (bootloader).
  • 8+ years of deep knowledge in Wi-Fi technologies, including 11 standards and Wi-Fi security protocols.
Complementary Competencies
  • Keen understanding of software development methodologies and ability to effectively work in a collaborative team environment.
  • Experience with Linux networking stack.
  • Expertise in Wi-Fi technologies.
  • Experience with CPE devices (including residential gateways, routers, ONTs, and Wi-Fi products).
  • Knowledge of Broadband Forum Standards.
  • Practical experience setting up GitLab CI/CD pipelines for embedded software.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills; proven analytical thinking and effective problem-solving; ability to identify root causes and drive issues to resolution; commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
Qualifications Educational Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
