Technical Learning and Development Specialist

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular needs assessments to identify skill gaps, design, develop, and deliver engaging, high-quality training programs using a variety of modalities.
  • Collaborate with SMEs, stakeholders, and development teams to ensure technical training programs meet organizational needs and prepare for future needs.
  • Develop and deliver technical training programs to software engineers.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in software development, including Web Apps, machine learning, DevOps, Generative AI, and cloud computing.
  • Develop external relations with technical professional groups, tech bootcamps, and other training and certifying organizations for partnerships.
  • Participate in ad-hoc activities related to technical skill-building, re-skilling, and upskilling.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of technical training programs and make recommendations for improvement based on relevant organizational metrics.
Qualifications
  • At least 6 years of experience in learning and development.
  • Experience in classroom management, instructional design, development, and implementation.
  • Excellent reporting skills (accurate, clear, and concise in verbal and written form).
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced and dynamic software R&D environment.
  • Above-average proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills to develop and deliver technical training programs that align with software development roadmaps and timelines.
