JOB PURPOSE

The Section Manager for FBP acts as a strategic link between the finance department and key business units, provides financial insight, analysis, and guidance to support decision-making, improve performance, and drive financial results. This role will supervise financial analysts and collaborates with senior stakeholders to align financial planning with business strategy, ensuring financial objectives are met and ensure company continuous improvement and development.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensures timely and accurate preparation of reports and relevant financial analysis

  • Checks and reviews output of planning analysts – reports, budgets, etc.

  • Develops and implements functional strategies for the planning group

  • Provides directions and assistance to the financial analysts for more detailed and relevant analysis and assistance to the brands and channels

  • Handles training sessions for financial analysts and other employees as needed

  • Work with channel and brand heads for reporting and analysis requirements

  • Assists in conducting periodic needs analysis and business process reviews to design, develop and implement new and improved systems of reporting, controlling and financial analysis.

  • Supports top management with various planning, budget, forecasting, financial analysis, ratio analysis, and reporting tools and reports

  • Provides support to other departments in analyzing proper accounting treatment of transactions.

  • Assists in the development of long-term financial planning and annual budgeting processes

  • Supports efforts to automate the financial reporting process to improve productivity

  • Handles special projects assigned from time to time

QUALIFICATIONS:

a. EDUCATION REQUIRED

  • B.S in Accountancy Graduate or equivalent

b. EXPERIENCE

  • At least 3-5 years' experience in financial planning (MBA preferred but not required)

c. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ATTITUDE

  • Ability to lead the compilation, analysis, interpretation, and presentation of complex annual financial reports, statements, and/or projections.

  • Ability to plan, implement, and administer financial information and control systems.

  • Good communication skills

  • Ability to relate to all levels in the organization

  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
