The Opportunity This is not your typical nursing leadership role. As Head of Nursing Training and Research at The Medical City, you will be at the forefront of shaping the future of nursing practice and education in one of the country’s leading healthcare institutions. You’ll lead the development of cutting‑edge training programs, forge academic partnerships, and drive nursing research that advances clinical excellence. From day one, you’ll work closely with the Chief Nursing Officer, Chief Medical Officer, and other senior leaders to build a robust nursing competency framework, oversee nurse deployment, and elevate the standards of care through education and evidence‑based practice. This is a role for someone who thrives in a high‑impact environment and is passionate about transforming healthcare through nursing leadership. What You’ll Actually Do Strategic Program Development: Design and implement competency‑based nursing education programs aligned with regulatory standards and organizational goals. Mentorship and Leadership: Guide Clinical Nurse Educators, evaluate staff development needs, and foster a culture of continuous learning. Academic and Industry Partnerships: Build and maintain relationships with nursing schools, professional organizations, and regulatory bodies. Talent Deployment: Lead the screening and placement of newly trained nurses across patient care units. Research Leadership: Promote and conduct nursing research, translating findings into practice and contributing to the profession’s body of knowledge. Cross‑functional Collaboration: Work with internal teams across clinical, HR, finance, and quality management to ensure seamless integration of training initiatives. What You’ll Learn How to lead large‑scale nursing education initiatives in a complex healthcare environment. How to manage diverse stakeholders and align educational goals with clinical outcomes. Who You Are A Registered Nurse (RN) in the Philippines with a valid PRC license. Holds a master’s or doctorate degree in Nursing Administration, Education, or a related health sciences field. Has 5+ years of clinical or teaching experience in tertiary hospitals or nursing schools. Experienced in designing and implementing progressive nursing education programs. A strategic thinker with strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Passionate about nursing excellence, education, and research.
