Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Patient Assessment and Care
  • Assesses patients before, during, and after dialysis treatment.
  • Prepares and operates hemodialysis machines according to standard procedures.
  • Monitors patients' vital signs and responses throughout treatment.
  • Administers prescribed medications and documents all nursing interventions.
  • Machine and Equipment Management
  • Ensures proper setup, operation, and disinfection of dialysis machines.
  • Checks equipment and water treatment systems for safety and functionality.
  • Reports malfunction or issues to the biomedical team or supervisor.
  • Infection Control and Safety
  • Adheres to infection control protocols and standard precautions at all times.
  • Ensures proper disposal of sharps and contaminated materials.
  • Maintains cleanliness and orderliness in the dialysis area.
  • Documentation and Reporting
  • Accurately records patient data, dialysis parameters, and treatment outcomes.
  • Reports significant patient changes to the attending physician promptly.
  • Patient Education and Support
  • Provides health teaching on renal care, fluid restrictions, and diet compliance.
  • Offers emotional support and counseling to patients and their families.
  • Professional Development
  • Participates in continuous education and dialysis training programs.
  • Upholds nursing ethics, hospital values, and PRC standards of practice.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • License: Registered Nurse (PRC License)
  • Training: Must have completed a DOH-accredited Hemodialysis Training Program
  • Experience: Preferably with at least 6 months to 1 year of dialysis experience (newly trained nurses may be considered)
Skills:
  • Strong clinical and technical skills in dialysis procedures
  • Excellent communication and patient care skills
  • Ability to respond quickly in emergency situations
Work Schedule:
  • Shifting schedule, including weekends and holidays
