Account Payable/Receivable Analyst

In this role, you will join an established team in Manila as a Corporate Actions Analyst. You will manage the complete end-to-end lifecycle of corporate action events related to cash for all equity and fixed income securities traded by the bank. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, flexible, competent under time pressure, and demonstrates initiative in a challenging and varied role.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the complete lifecycle of corporate action events related to cash for equity and fixed income securities.
  • Handle withholding tax obligations, ensure compliance with internal reporting requirements, and manage client elections, entitlements, and counterparty claims.
  • Engage with external agents such as custodians, clearers, and depositories, and address inquiries from internal stakeholders including middle-office teams and finance.
  • Oversee breaks management to ensure accurate reconciliation and resolution of discrepancies.
  • Process claims for cash dividends, ensuring timely and accurate handling of transactions.
Qualifications
  • Strong accuracy skills with attention to detail and commitment to completion and delivery.
  • Ability to investigate issues and escalate effectively.
  • Self-motivated, independent, and able to work well under pressure.
  • Strong focus on teamwork and effective communication skills.
  • Experience in the financial/banking industry.
  • Appropriate tertiary qualification in a finance-related discipline.
  • Willingness to work on public holidays and shifting schedules depending on assigned markets (ANZ, Asia, UK time).
  • Willingness to work extended hours during high volume days or staff shortages.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
