Overview

The role of an Accounting Senior Staff involves the management of the accounting department’s day to day activities and operations. This position is responsible for guaranteeing the timely documentation of transactions, preparing financial statements, leading the accounting department and ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual accounting reports
  • Develop and monitor budget information for the accounting department; track expenditures and variances, and take corrective measures as needed
  • Audit transactions to approve ledger entries
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis
  • Inventory Management and Auditing
  • Knowledgeable in all aspects of BIR Transactions and Taxation
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint usage
Qualifications
  • BS Accountancy/Accounting Graduate
  • Proven 2 to 5 years work experience as Accounting Officer
  • CPA is an advantage but not required
  • Familiarity with basic accounting and data analysis
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledgeable in handling Accounts Receivable/Payable
  • Good problem-solving skills
  • Fluent in English and Tagalog
  • Be proactive, positive and responsible
  • Sound knowledge of accounting principles, internal control systems, and understanding of manufacturing and inventory control
  • Physical inventory and cycle count experience in a cost environment
  • Working knowledge on Accounting System, QuickBooks, ERP; Oracle exposure is a plus
  • Ability to independently anticipate, organize, prioritize and manage multiple priorities
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis
  • Knowledgeable in all aspects of BIR Transactions and Taxation
