The Opportunity: Collections Analytics Manager – Philippines

We're looking for a highly analytical, data-driven Collections Analyst to support the growth and risk management of our Philippines lending business, Cashalo – a recent addition to the Tilt team. This individual will own work-streams across collections strategy design, testing, and implementation, and will be asked to take projects from ideation to execution. They will also partner with product, tech, and finance teams to build out solutions that drive value for Tilt and our customers.

You will be expected to travel to North America twice per year, and the Philippines ~3 times per year for company onsites - all expenses for these trips will be covered by Tilt / Cashalo

• Develop new collections strategies and regularly review and update existing ones to support Tilt's business in the Philippines. Collaborate with the collections team to implement and rigorously test these policy changes

• Work with the Tech Teams to design, build, and validate new tools and systems for our collections team

• Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover trends and actionable insights, while continuously monitoring portfolio performance and benchmarking against key metrics

• Collaborate closely with the Credit team to influence the performance and direction of our lending portfolio

• Work with Cashalo’s leadership team to refine and execute the business plans and agenda

• Partner with leaders in product, engineering, marketing, and finance to ensure that the team’s work fits within the larger picture

• Design and conduct champion-challenger tests on a regular basis to optimize collection strategies and ensure continuous performance improvement

• Handle the budgeting process for the Collections team, including headcount planning and forecasting of all operating expenses (e.g., SMS, dialer, telco, OCA fees)

• 2+ years of experience in strategic data analytics, with a focus on using data to solve complicated and ambiguous problems - familiarity with lending / credit industry preferred but not required - no collections experience needed

• Highly proficient in SQL, and Excel for data analysis, automation, and performance reporting - Python familiarity preferred

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on data driven story-telling for wide audiences

• Comfort with ambiguity; the ability to lay out and test clear hypotheses, and solve problems without well-defined direction

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Eager to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, globally distributed environment.

• Location: candidate must be available starting 9am Philippines time, and based in a time zone GMT+5 or later (Philippines, India, Southeast Asia, Australia, etc)
