Senior Accountant – Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to provide accurate and timely reporting of financial results.
• Conduct variance analysis, trend analysis, and financial performance assessments to identify key drivers, trends, and areas for improvement.
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of financial reporting activities, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Coordinate with accounting team members and departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure adherence to accounting standards and policies.
• Establish and maintain internal controls, policies, and procedures to safeguard company assets, mitigate financial risks, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards.
• Support internal and external audits, providing documentation, explanations, and assistance as needed to ensure audit readiness and compliance.
• Assist in the development of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans, working closely with department heads and senior management to align financial goals with business objectives.
• Monitor budget performance, analyze variances, and provide insights and recommendations to management for course correction and resource allocation.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and streamlining of accounting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
• Implement best practices and leverage technology solutions to optimize financial operations and reporting capabilities.
• Participate in financial projects and initiatives, such as system implementations, mergers and acquisitions, and business expansions, providing financial expertise and support as needed.
• Conduct financial due diligence, perform financial analysis, and contribute to decision-making processes to support strategic initiatives and growth opportunities.

Qualifications – Ideal Candidate

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA or equivalent certification preferred
• 4+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles, with a focus on financial reporting, analysis, and internal controls
• Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting requirements, and internal control frameworks
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with Oracle, SAP, or NetSuite is a plus
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and financial modeling
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data, identify trends, and make strategic recommendations
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization
• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information

• All MCI locations: Must be authorized to work in the country where the job is based
• Must be willing to submit up to a LEVEL II background and/or security investigation with a fingerprint. Job offers are contingent on background/security investigation results
