We are looking for a motivated,positiveand keen Senior Accountant who will be completing accounting, compliance and tax-related work from start to finish. Responsibilities: Prepare Business Activity Statements (BAS’s) and Installment Activity Statements (IAS’s) Prepare Financial Statements, including Depreciation Schedulesfor sole traders, partnerships, trusts and companies Prepare Income Tax Returnsfor sole traders, partnerships, trusts and companies Preparation of FBT Returns Proficient in taxation issues such as Division 7A and CGT Computer data input Assist Clients with MYOB,Xero&QuickBooksQueries Contact Clientsregardingqueries, ifrequired,under instruction from the manager or partner Complete timesheet daily Provide general accounting and taxation advice to clients Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant taxation and other relevant legislation and rulings. Research and accurately interpret taxation and other relevant legislation and rulings for clients Participate in external and internal training asrequired Ensure that all work is error-free and professionally presented andcomplies withprocedures and systems Maintain current andaccuratefiles and record and date any actions and detailed file notes Update Job Manageron a daily basis Prepare P & L and cash flow budgets for clients Use available resources to seek answers to technical questions prior to consulting manager Other duties as requested Requirements Bachelor of Accountancy / Commerce and Certified Public Accountant / Chartered Accountant Minimum of 4 years of Australian accounting and taxation experience XeroCertified Experience in the preparation and review of financial statements and income tax returns for individuals,partnerships,companies, and trusts Experience working with Australian SMEs Competent with computer operations as well as some specific applications, such as Xero, MYOB, Microsoft Word, Excel, outlook Experience with relevant computer systems The person must be keen to learn and develop their computer competencies Particularly good in verbal and written English communication skills #J-18808-Ljbffr
